Do you like to have your force feedback turned up? Have you just bought a Direct Drive wheel and want to 1UP your immersion?
Even the best built extrusion based rigs will experience some flex, especially when using a high powered DD wheel.
With a high power wheel, transverse and lateral flex between the vertical members and the long transverse members on the sides can be observed on most rigs. To a lesser degree, some flex may also be visible between the vertical members and the horizontal wheel mount member.
Bolting on our corner gusset plates helps significantly with this flex.
Our plates are made from 6061-T6 aluminium, lovingly CNC’d in our workshop in Perth Western Australia. Finished by glass bead blasting just prior to engraving and chamfering. These gussets really look great while providing extra stiffness for your rig.
Custom engraving is available! Put your racing team’s logo and name on your rig! Email us your SVG for what you’d like engraved and we can quote you! Practical limitations apply – We use a 0.5mm engraving tool and prefer line type artwork.
Kit contains:
- 6x CNC Corner gussets (6061-T6 Aluminium)
- 30x T Slot nuts (Stainless Steel)
- 30x M8x16mm Cap head bolts (Stainless Steel)
We suggest installing 2 gussets at the top to brace your wheel mount extrusion to the vertical posts (depending on the orientation of your wheel mount extrusion), and 4 at the bottom (2 on each vertical 4080 where it joins to the base).
Compatible with standard 4080 style extrusion rigs including our SR1 rig.
Our SR1 rig uses a thicker than standard profile to increase stiffness and reduce this flex, but if you have your force feedback turned up to 11, its a tall order for any rig to overcome the torque and force of a high end wheel.
These are manufactured to order with a typical lead time of up to 2 weeks.
